1000W Fan Heater 15 Models with a 1 kW Setting
A 1000W fan heater is the quiet, low-draw half of a dual-power fan heater. 15 of the 25 fan heater models in our catalogue carry a 1,000 W setting, and on almost all of them it is selected by the same rocker switch that gives 2,000 W.
The FS-3000 is the exception that shows why the setting matters: it switches between 1,000 W and 3,000 W, so the low setting is a third of its full output. Running a heater at 1,000 W is roughly 1 kWh per hour, which is the figure that decides whether a unit can share a domestic ring main with other appliances — the reason 1 kW fan heaters sell steadily into bedrooms, caravans and office desks.
Physically the 15 models span 0.85 kg to 2.30 kg and giftboxes from 232 × 116 × 231 mm to 555 × 150 × 225 mm. All are rated 220–240 V ~ 50/60 Hz and all carry overheat protection. The FS-601, FS-602 add a 12-hour timer and an LCD display, so the low setting can be run unattended on a schedule.

Where a 1 kW Setting Is the Right Choice
Low-draw heating is specified where the supply, the noise or the running cost is the limit.
Bedrooms and overnight use
1,000 W holds a bedroom at temperature with roughly half the draw of the high setting. The FS-601, FS-602 pair a 12-hour timer with the low setting, so they can run unattended overnight on a schedule.
Caravans, cabins and backup
A 1 kW draw is easier on a limited supply than 2 kW. The 0.85 kg FS501 is the lightest model in the range that carries this setting, and the FS-3000 at 2.30 kg is the heaviest.
Desks and small enclosed rooms
Where a 2 kW heater would cycle constantly, the low setting runs continuously and holds a steady temperature instead, which is what buyers of desk units ask for.

How much does a 1000W fan heater cost to run?
At 1,000 W the heater draws about 1 kWh per hour on that setting. Running cost is that figure multiplied by your local electricity price — it is not a fixed number we can quote across markets.
Is a 1000W fan heater worth it?
It suits bedrooms, caravans and desk use where a 2 kW draw is more than the circuit or the budget wants. Because the same models switch to 2,000 W, one unit covers both jobs.
Are these really 1000W heaters, or 2000W models with a low setting?
