Ceramic Gas Heater 2 Models
“Ceramic” appears twice in a gas heater, and it means two different things: the burner surface that holds the flame, and the housing the heater is built into.
This page covers both, because our range uses ceramic in both places. The FS-85 is a 2.8 kW gas space heater with a ceramic burner in a 270 × 270 × 330 mm body, built from cold plate spraying with an iron-chromium-aluminium burner — the material combination chosen because it holds up to sustained radiant heat without scaling, which is what decides how long the heater lasts. The FS-021 is a 2.6 kW portable heater whose housing is plastic and ceramic in black or orange; ceramic construction holds and releases heat rather than only glowing at the burner.
Both are vent-free. Neither needs a flue or an electrical connection, and both carry an oxygen depletion sensor that shuts the heater down if room oxygen falls. If what you need is a ceramic-element electric heater rather than a gas burner, that is a different product line — see ceramic electric heaters.

What Ceramic Actually Does in Each Model
These are not two versions of the same thing. Here is what the ceramic part is doing in each heater.
FS-85 — ceramic burner
The burner is iron-chromium-aluminium behind a ceramic face, in a 270 × 270 × 330 mm cold-plate-sprayed body. The burner is the part that has to survive repeated heat cycles without scaling, and that is what the material choice is for. 2.8 kW, 2.8 kg net, 2,700 pcs per 40HQ.
FS-021 — ceramic housing
Plastic and ceramic housing in black or orange around a 2.6 kW burner, in a 270 × 250 × 350 mm body at 3.5 kg net. Ceramic in the housing holds and releases heat rather than only glowing, and the compact footprint means the unit stores easily. 1,630 pcs per 40HQ.

Ceramic Gas Heaters — Common Questions
What is a ceramic gas heater?
It depends which part is ceramic. In our range the FS-85 has a ceramic burner face — the surface that holds the flame and radiates heat. The FS-021 has a plastic and ceramic housing, where the ceramic holds and releases heat around a 2.6 kW burner.
Is a ceramic gas heater the same as a ceramic electric heater?
No. A ceramic electric heater uses a self-regulating PTC ceramic element and needs mains power. A ceramic gas heater burns gas and needs no electrical connection at all. See ceramic electric heaters for the PTC side of the range.
Do these models need a flue?
No. Both are vent-free and need no flue or wall opening. They rely on a flame-failure device and an oxygen depletion sensor, and must be used with the ventilation your local code requires for unvented gas appliances.
What output do the ceramic models give?
The FS-85 gives 2.8 kW and the FS-021 gives 2.6 kW. Both are single-rate heaters — for adjustable output from 1.5 kW to 4.2 kW, see the cabinet models.
How many units fit in a 40HQ?
The FS-85 loads 2,700 pcs per 40HQ in a four-unit master carton. The FS-021 loads 1,630 pcs per 40HQ in a two-unit master carton.
Can the colour be changed?
Both models are catalogued in black and orange. Custom colour and printed logo are order options across the range — send us the target colour and we will confirm it for the model you have chosen.
