Construction Kerosene Heater 6 Models, 10–150 kW

A construction kerosene heater has to do three jobs that a room heater never does: run where there is no mains capacity, survive being moved, and dry things out. 6 of our 28 diesel and kerosene models list a site application — single-room site huts, temporary site accommodation, site offices, renovation and building work. Output runs 10 kW to 150 kW, or 34,121 to 511,821 BTU/h.

All 6 are direct fired, which is deliberate: an open flame into the air stream is the fastest way to get heat into a cold, draughty shell, and drying work needs air movement as much as temperature. The FS10-21A at 10 kW is the one-man unit for a single hut or stall; the FS150-20C at 150 kW is for large sites and remote project accommodation.

Because these units are moved and run unattended, the safety package is standard across the group rather than optional: overheat cut-off, heat-dissipation protection, flameout protection, shutdown protection and an error indicator light, on a 441-grade stainless steel combustion chamber rated to 1000°C. Every model on this page is built for diesel or kerosene only — no model here is approved for petrol or bio-oil.

Where They Sell

What a Construction Kerosene Heater Is Specified For

On site, the heater is usually bought for a job rather than for a room.

Drying plaster, screed and paint

Air movement is the point. A direct-fired unit in this group moves warm air across a wet surface continuously, which is what renovation and building work needs.

Site huts and temporary accommodation

The FS10-21A at 10 kW covers a single-room hut; the FS150-20C at 150 kW covers large and remote sites.

Outdoor and semi-open working areas

Where there is no wall to hold heat, output has to be bought by volume. That is why this group runs to 150 kW rather than stopping at the smallest body.

FAQ

Construction Kerosene Heaters — Common Questions

What size heater do I need for a site hut?

For a single-room hut, the FS10-21A at 10 kW is the unit in this range. For temporary accommodation or a large site, the range runs up to 150 kW on the FS150-20C.

Are these direct or indirect fired?

All 6 models on this page are direct fired. Site and drying work needs air movement and fast warm-up, and every model here trades clean-air delivery for that. For occupied or dust-sensitive spaces use an indirect-fired model instead.

Can I leave one running overnight?

The safety package is designed for unattended running: overheat cut-off, heat-dissipation protection, flameout protection, shutdown protection and an error indicator light. Ventilation is still required with direct-fired units.

Will it run on site diesel?

Yes — diesel or kerosene only. Every specification sheet in this category excludes petrol and bio-oil.

Is it portable?

The range runs from 10 kW to 150 kW. The smaller bodies are moved by one person; the largest are positioned and left for the duration of the project.

How many BTU is it?

34,121 to 511,821 BTU/h across the group, converted from the published kW ratings at 1 kW = 3,412.14 BTU/h.
