Freestanding Patio Heater — questions we are asked
Do freestanding patio heaters need to be fixed down?
No. Every model in this group stands on its own base and needs no bracket or fixing. The umbrella models use a double-column stem and the square models a 49.5 × 49.5 cm base for stability in wind.
What is the difference between freestanding, wall mounted and ceiling mounted?
Freestanding units stand on the ground and can be moved; wall and ceiling mounted units are fixed to the structure. This range is entirely freestanding — which is also why it suits venues that reconfigure their outdoor space.
What height options are there?
Columns run from 130 cm on the low cylindrical model to 227 cm on the square models, with 200–226 cm in between. The low model is the one for awnings and low canopies.
Can freestanding gas models use a hidden cylinder?
Yes — on the gas models the cylinder sits inside the base behind a side access door, so no tank is visible and no hose crosses the terrace.
Are the freestanding models available with wheels?
The umbrella and low cylindrical models have integrated wheels; the square models are supplied for wheeled use. All are meant to be repositioned without lifting.
Which output should I choose?
The group runs 2.25–14 kW. Electric is enough for covered and sheltered space; for an open terrace where guests sit more than about 7 ft away, the 14 kW gas models are the ones to specify.
