The FS30-23BI is a 30kW indirect-fired diesel and kerosene space heater. Unlike a direct-fired unit, the flame heats a stainless steel heat exchanger and the flue gases are ducted away separately, so the air delivered into the room is clean, dry and free of combustion products. The FS30-23BI is a 30 kW indirect-fired diesel heater, which makes it safe for food processing and packaging areas: the flame is separated from the air stream by a heat exchanger and the exhaust is discharged separately, so no combustion gas and no odour is ever blown into the room where product is exposed.
This is a compliance question as much as a comfort one — a direct-fired heater cannot be used where open food or packaging is present, so the indirect design is what opens this output class to food factories, bakeries, bottling lines and packing halls. The 441-grade stainless steel combustion chamber is rated to 1000 degrees C. The full protection set is fitted: overheat cut-off, heat-dissipation protection, flameout protection, shutdown protection and an error indicator light. Fuel must be diesel or kerosene only.
