The FS50-23BI is a 50 kW indirect-fired diesel heater, and it is the model specified where the process itself cannot tolerate combustion products in the air. A stainless steel heat exchanger sits between the flame and the air stream, so only clean heated air reaches the room and the exhaust leaves separately.
Dust-sensitive operations — woodworking, powder coating, flour handling, textile finishing, electronics assembly — are the ones that cannot use a direct-fired heater at all, because the exhaust stream would carry moisture and combustion products into the very environment that has to stay clean. The indirect design is what makes 50 kW of heat available in those rooms. The 441-grade stainless steel combustion chamber is rated to 1000 degrees C, and the full protection set — overheat cut-off, heat-dissipation protection, flameout protection, shutdown protection and an error indicator light — is fitted. Fuel must be diesel or kerosene only.
