The FS60-19A is a 60kW direct-fired diesel and kerosene heater from our 10kW to 190kW forced-air range. It burns diesel or kerosene in a 441-grade stainless steel combustion chamber rated to 1000°C and blows the heated air straight into the working area through a high-power enclosed fan, so heat arrives within seconds of ignition. Direct-fired units raise the incoming air temperature by 40–60°C and are intended for well-ventilated sites with an air change rate high enough to carry the combustion products away — construction and renovation work, workshops, warehouses, barns, factories, dock yards and rail or road works. The FS60-19A is a 60 kW direct-fired diesel heater for industrial halls where roof height makes radiant heating ineffective: the warmth from a radiant unit rises and stratifies long before it reaches the floor, so the only practical method is to push a large volume of heated air into the space and mix it.
Forced air is the correct answer to a tall building because the fan creates movement, and movement is what stops the heat from sitting in a layer under the roof. The 441-grade stainless steel combustion chamber is rated to 1000 degrees C, which is what keeps the flame-side metal sound over years of industrial service. Five protections are fitted — overheat cut-off, heat-dissipation protection, flameout protection, shutdown protection and an error indicator light. As a direct-fired unit it must run in well ventilated space, and fuel must be diesel or kerosene only.
