The FS60-19B is a 60kW direct-fired diesel and kerosene heater from our 10kW to 190kW forced-air range. It burns diesel or kerosene in a 441-grade stainless steel combustion chamber rated to 1000°C and blows the heated air straight into the working area through a high-power enclosed fan, so heat arrives within seconds of ignition. Direct-fired units raise the incoming air temperature by 40–60°C and are intended for well-ventilated sites with an air change rate high enough to carry the combustion products away — construction and renovation work, workshops, warehouses, barns, factories, dock yards and rail or road works. The FS60-19B is a 60 kW direct-fired diesel heater sized for large agricultural buildings — barns, grain stores, machinery sheds and livestock buildings with big open volumes and constant air loss through open doors and ventilation gaps.
In a building of this size the heater has to be able to run for long unattended stretches, which is why the safety set matters as much as the output. Five independent protections are fitted: overheat cut-off, heat-dissipation protection, flameout protection, shutdown protection and an error indicator light, so the unit shuts itself down and signals the fault rather than continuing to run under an abnormal condition. The 441-grade stainless steel combustion chamber is rated to 1000 degrees C. Fuel must be diesel or kerosene only, and the space must be well ventilated.
