Unlike a direct-fired unit, the flame heats a stainless steel heat exchanger and the flue gases are ducted away separately, so the air delivered into the room is clean, dry and free of combustion products. That makes the FS60-19BI suitable for occupied workshops, food and packaging areas, painting and coating lines, greenhouses and livestock buildings, and any space where humidity or air quality is controlled. The FS60-19BI is a 60 kW indirect-fired diesel heater supplying clean, fume-free air to large industrial spaces — production halls, assembly areas, packing lines and occupied workshops where a direct-fired unit would put combustion products into the breathing zone.
The specification that decides this model over a direct-fired 60 kW is simply where the exhaust goes: with indirect firing the flue gases are ducted away from the working area, so the heat arrives with nothing else attached to it. In an occupied hall that is the difference between a heater that can be run all shift and one that cannot be used at all. The 441-grade stainless steel combustion chamber is rated to 1000 degrees C, and the full protection set is fitted — overheat cut-off, heat-dissipation protection, flameout protection, shutdown protection and an error indicator light. Fuel must be diesel or kerosene only.
