The FS60-23BI is a 60kW indirect-fired diesel and kerosene space heater. Unlike a direct-fired unit, the flame heats a stainless steel heat exchanger and the flue gases are ducted away separately, so the air delivered into the room is clean, dry and free of combustion products. That makes the FS60-23BI suitable for occupied workshops, food and packaging areas, painting and coating lines, greenhouses and livestock buildings, and any space where humidity or air quality is controlled. The FS60-23BI is a 60 kW indirect-fired diesel heater delivering clean air to drying rooms and finishing shops, where the air quality in the room directly affects the finish on the work — spray booths, joinery finishing, print rooms, coating lines and drying chambers.
Any contaminant in the heated air will find its way onto the surface being dried, which is why a direct-fired unit cannot be used in a finishing shop: the exhaust stream would carry combustion products and moisture into the very room that has to stay clean. Indirect firing separates the two, so only clean heated air circulates. The 441-grade stainless steel combustion chamber is rated to 1000 degrees C, and the full protection set — overheat cut-off, heat-dissipation protection, flameout protection, shutdown protection and an error indicator light — is fitted. Fuel must be diesel or kerosene only.
