Indoor Kerosene Heater All 4 Models Run Without a Power Cord

An indoor kerosene heater is the one heater that does not stop when the power does. All 4 kerosene heaters we build run on kerosene or paraffin oil alone — no power cord, no outlet, no battery — which is why they are chosen for living rooms in markets where the grid is unreliable, and for the rooms in any house that go cold first.

The burner does two things at once. It radiates directly on the people and surfaces in front of it, which is why a kerosene heater feels warm within a minute of lighting, and it sets up a convection current that carries warmed air out into the room. Both effects come from the same glass fibre wick, and neither needs a fan.

The four models share one burner rating of 9,000 BTU/H and one footprint of 315 mm square, and separate on tank capacity and safety fit. FS-229 and FS-229A hold 4.6 L; FS-2310 and FS-707 hold 6.0 L, which is the difference between refilling once in an evening and refilling once a day. FS-2310 and FS-229A add an oxygen depletion sensor, a tip-over switch and a burner guard. All four carry a flat top that works as a warming plate, and all four ship one to a carton at 1,335–1,440 pcs per 40HQ.

Every figure below comes from the four models’ own specification sheets. Tank size is the one thermal figure that differs between them — FS-229 and FS-229A hold 4.6 L and FS-2310 and FS-707 hold 6.0 L.

Packing and Container Loading

Three models pack into the same 325 × 325 × 445 mm gift box and load 1,440 pcs per 40HQ; the FS-2310 needs a 325 × 325 × 460 mm box and loads 1,335 pcs because its body is 315 × 315 × 445 mm tall rather than 315 × 315 × 430 mm.

Every model ships one piece to a gift box and one piece to a carton, so the 40HQ figure below is both the piece count and the carton count — there is no separate carton column to read.

Where They Sell

Where an Indoor Kerosene Heater Sells

The sale is reliability of supply: this is the heater category that still works when nothing else in the house does.

Living rooms in cold-snap markets

Japan and other countries run these as a primary home heating appliance; the United States and Australia use them as supplemental or emergency heat — either way, a burner with no element and no motor is the argument, at 9,000 BTU/H.

Homes with an unreliable grid

Where outages are routine, a non-electric unit is bought as much for continuity as for heat. There is nothing to reset when the power returns.

Bedrooms, studies and small rooms

At 4.2–4.7 kg net and a 315 mm base it can be carried room to room, and the flat top doubles as a warming plate for a kettle or a pan.

FAQ

Indoor Kerosene Heaters — Common Questions

Are kerosene heaters safe to use indoors?

Used as specified, yes — and the specification is ventilation. A wick kerosene heater is an unvented appliance, so the room it heats needs a source of fresh air. Two of these four models, FS-2310 and FS-229A, are also fitted with an oxygen depletion sensor that shuts the burner down when oxygen in the room drops, plus a tip-over switch and a full metal guard around the burner. FS-229 and FS-707 carry the same wick-and-convection burner without the ODS. If your market requires ODS on every unit, specify those two models.

Does an indoor kerosene heater need ventilation?

Yes. These are unvented appliances, so the room needs a supply of fresh air. That is a property of the fuel, not of the model — and it is exactly what the oxygen depletion sensor on FS-2310 and FS-229A is there to police, shutting the burner down if the air in the room runs short.

Does it smell indoors?

Not when the wick is trimmed and the burner is adjusted. FS-707 is the model written up for a clean burn with no smoke and no strong odour; unburned kerosene smell indoors is almost always a wick height or dirty-wick problem rather than a design one.

Can it be used while you sleep?

We would not specify it for that. Wick kerosene heaters are attended appliances: light them in the room you are in, and shut them down before you leave the room or sleep. The ODS and tip-over switch on FS-2310 and FS-229A are backstops, not a substitute for that routine.

Is a kerosene heater worth it?

It depends on what you are replacing. Kerosene carries more usable heat per unit of spend than mains electricity in most markets, and there is no element to burn out and no motor to seize, so a wick unit keeps working for years on consumable parts alone. What you pay for is the manual routine — fill it, light it, keep the wick trimmed. A buyer who wants heat on demand with no maintenance is shopping for a different class of appliance; see the full heater range for how the categories divide. A buyer heating a garage, a tent or a house through a power cut is the one this product was built for.

What is the packing and loading?

One piece to a carton on a 325 × 325 × 445 mm gift box, loading 1,335–1,440 pcs per 40HQ. Colour, logo, carton artwork and manual language are all made to order.
