Infrared Patio Heater 8 Radiant Models
8 infrared patio heaters that warm people and surfaces directly instead of trying to heat moving air — which is why they still work on an open terrace where convection is useless. The group runs from 2.25 kW electric to 14 kW gas.

Eight radiant models, electric and gas
Electric infrared reaches full power in seconds and needs no cylinder; gas infrared delivers several times the output for open space. Both work by radiation rather than by heating the air.

Output is quoted as radiant power at the burner or element. Where a unit is quoted as covering a wide radius, the comfortable working radius in a breeze is considerably smaller — roughly 7 ft rather than the nominal 12–20 ft.
Shape and output

The reflector does the work: umbrella and square hoods throw heat downward and outward, low cylindrical units fit under awnings. Same radiant principle, different coverage.
Infrared Patio Heater — questions we are asked
How does an infrared patio heater differ from a convection heater?
Infrared heats people, furniture and paving directly, so the warmth is felt within seconds and is not carried away by moving air — the reason it works outdoors.
Do I need gas or electric infrared?
Electric infrared suits covered terraces, balconies and any space where a cylinder would be awkward. Gas infrared suits open terraces where far more output is needed for the same footprint.
How much coverage does one unit give?
A unit may be quoted as covering 12–20 ft, but the comfortable working radius is closer to 7 ft, and a 10 mph gust cuts the effective radius by roughly 40%.
Which models fit under an awning or a low canopy?
The low cylindrical model, at 130 cm, is the one specified for awnings and parasols where a full-height unit will not fit.
Is radiant heat affected by wind?
Yes. Wind is the main limitation of any outdoor radiant heater — it reduces the effective radius rather than the output. Screened or sheltered terraces perform noticeably better.
What certifications do the infrared models carry?
CE and CSA on the gas models and CE and CCC on the electric models. The FS-Z02 is also available as an ETL-certified version for North America from the same tooling.
