Non-Electric Kerosene Heater All 4 Models Heat Through a Power Cut
A non-electric kerosene heater is bought for the one hour a year when everything else in the house has stopped. A storm takes the overhead line down, a rolling blackout switches the street off, or a fuse goes at eleven at night — and an electric heater, however good, is a box of metal at that moment. All 4 kerosene heaters we build run on liquid fuel alone: no power cord, no outlet, no battery, no ignition circuit.
There is a second, quieter argument. Because there is no element to burn out and no motor to seize, a wick burner has very little in it that a year of storage can spoil. Put one away full of clean kerosene, bring it out next winter, trim the wick and light it. An electric appliance that has sat in a damp shed for two years is a different bet.
All four models share the same 9,000 BTU/H burner and the same 315 mm square base, and separate on tank and safety fit: FS-229 and FS-229A hold 4.6 L, FS-2310 and FS-707 hold 6.0 L, FS-2310 and FS-229A add an oxygen depletion sensor and a tip-over switch, and FS-229 adds automatic ignition — still mechanical, still with no mains connection. Packing is one to a carton at 1,335–1,440 pcs per 40HQ.

Non-Electric Kerosene Heaters at a Glance
Non-electric is a specification, not a slogan: no cord, no outlet, no battery and no ignition circuit on any of the four models. FS-2310 and FS-229A add an oxygen depletion sensor, which is a safety device rather than a power one.

Heat output, fuel tank, net and gross weight and body size for every model on this page. Every figure is taken from that model’s own specification sheet — nothing is estimated.
| Model | Heat output | Fuel tank | N.W. / G.W. | Product size |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FS-229 | 9,000 BTU/H | 4.6 L | 4.3 / 5.0 kg | 315 × 315 × 430 mm |
| FS-2310 | 9,000 BTU/H | 6.0 L | 4.7 / 5.5 kg | 315 × 315 × 445 mm |
| FS-707 | 9,000 BTU/H | 6.0 L | 4.2 / 5.0 kg | 315 × 315 × 430 mm |
| FS-229A | 9,000 BTU/H | 4.6 L | 4.3 / 5.0 kg | 315 × 315 × 430 mm |
Packing and Container Loading
Emergency heat is normally bought in small quantities, but the range packs efficiently either way: 1,440 pcs per 40HQ for three models on a 325 × 325 × 445 mm gift box, 1,335 pcs for the FS-2310 on its 325 × 325 × 460 mm box.
Every model ships one piece to a gift box and one piece to a carton, so the 40HQ figure below is both the piece count and the carton count — there is no separate carton column to read.
Where a Non-Electric Kerosene Heater Sells
Emergency preparedness, off-grid living and any market where the supply fails often enough for households to plan for it.
Power-outage and storm markets
Where outages are seasonal and expected, a heater that needs no supply is bought as standard equipment rather than as a backup.
Off-grid homes and remote cabins
No service connection, no battery bank and no inverter sizing to worry about — the appliance is independent of the electrical system.
Emergency stockholding and relief supply
An appliance that can be warehoused for a season and issued without a power assessment, at 4.2–4.7 kg net per unit.

Non-Electric Kerosene Heaters — Common Questions
Does a non-electric kerosene heater need any electricity?
None at all on these four models. There is no cord, no plug, no battery and no electronic ignition — the burner is lit at the wick, and FS-229 ignites automatically by a mechanical mechanism rather than a spark circuit.
How long can it run without a refill?
Burn time follows wick height and burner setting, so we publish tank capacity instead of a runtime claim: 6.0 L on FS-2310 and FS-707 is the longer-running option, 4.6 L on FS-229 and FS-229A the lighter refill.
Is kerosene heater or electric heater cheaper to run?
In most markets kerosene carries more usable heat per unit of spend than electricity, and the appliance itself costs less to keep running because there are no elements or motors to replace. The comparison flips in markets with very cheap off-peak electricity — but the non-electric unit still runs when the supply is down.
Are kerosene heaters safe to use indoors?
With ventilation, yes. Two of these four — FS-2310 and FS-229A — are fitted with an oxygen depletion sensor that shuts the burner down when the air in the room runs short, plus a tip-over switch and a burner guard. FS-229 and FS-707 carry the same burner without the ODS.
What fuel does it take?
Kerosene, also sold as paraffin oil, in a clean-burning grade. All four models are specified for it. Do not run them on diesel — the forced-air diesel units in our diesel and kerosene range are built for that fuel.
Is a kerosene heater worth it?
It depends on what you are replacing. Kerosene carries more usable heat per unit of spend than mains electricity in most markets, and there is no element to burn out and no motor to seize, so a wick unit keeps working for years on consumable parts alone. What you pay for is the manual routine — fill it, light it, keep the wick trimmed. A buyer who wants heat on demand with no maintenance is shopping for a different class of appliance; see the full heater range for how the categories divide. A buyer heating a garage, a tent or a house through a power cut is the one this product was built for.
