Oil Filled Radiator Heaters -- 45 Models

An oil-filled radiator, also known as an oil heater or column heater, is a common form of convection heater used in domestic heating. Although filled with oil, it is electrically heated and does not involve burning any oil fuel - the oil is used as a heat reservoir.

A heating element at the base heats the diathermic oil, which has a high specific heat capacity and a high boiling point, so it transfers thermal energy efficiently while remaining liquid. Heat reaches the metal walls by convection, passes through them by conduction, and then warms the room through air convection and thermal radiation. The thin fins give a large surface area, so the surface stays safe enough to touch.

Why Choose

Three Things That Make These Heaters Different

Silent, sealed-oil heating

No fan, no noise, no dry air. Smooth sealed oil radiates steady warmth.

Triple overheat protection

Thermostat + thermal fuse + tip-over cut-off. TUEV-style certification available.

Mass production capacity

180,000 m^2 factory, 30-45 day lead times for OEM colour, logo and packaging.

Oil-Filled vs Electric

Why Choose an Oil-Filled Radiator?

An oil-filled radiator is rarely the fastest heater in the shop — and it is almost always the one people leave running. Because the diathermic oil is a sealed heat reservoir rather than a fuel, the heater reaches its set temperature and then stops drawing power, while the fins carry on warming the room. That single design decision is behind everything below.

Six reasons oil-filled wins the long shift

Lower power consumption

The oil is a reservoir, not a fuel. Once the room hits the set point the element cycles off instead of overshooting, so the heater stops paying for heat you already have.

Heat that outlasts the switch-off

The thin fins give a very large contact area with the air, so the room keeps warming after the power cuts. Switch it off and the warmth is still there an hour later.

Silent by construction

There is no fan, so there is nothing to rattle, hum or cycle. A sealed-oil column can be left on for days without making a sound — which is why it is the default bedroom heater.

Safe to leave unattended

No fan intake to block with dust or fabric, and a wide base that resists tipping. Add thermostat, thermal fuse and tip-over cut-off and it is the heater you can walk away from.

A thermostat you can trust

Modern oil-filled models use accurate electronic thermostat control and hold a constant “sweet spot” temperature, rather than swinging between too hot and too cold.

Built for longevity

The oil is sealed for life and never topped up, and the slow warm-up is the price of a unit designed to run for a decade rather than a season. That is what makes it the better lifetime buy.

Where it honestly loses

It is heavy

Typically 30 lb (14 kg) and up once the columns are filled. Treat it as a set-and-stay appliance, not something you carry from room to room — castors only help on the same floor.

It is slow to full temperature

Budget around 20 minutes to bring a room up to the set point, against roughly 5 minutes for a fan heater. If you want warmth the moment you walk in, this is the wrong product.

So which one should you choose?

Choose an oil-filled radiator if…

  • You want warmth that is still there an hour after the thermostat clicks off
  • The heater runs all night in a bedroom, so noise actually matters
  • You are optimising running cost rather than sticker price
  • You want a unit that will still be in service in ten years

Choose a fan or ceramic heater if…

  • You need the room warm in five minutes and can live with the fan noise
  • You move the heater between rooms, or take it travelling
  • The budget is tight and the heater is for occasional, short use
  • You need the smallest possible footprint

What that means for your order book

Almost every market we ship to buys both, and the split is predictable. Oil-filled radiators hold the mid and premium shelf — bedrooms, living rooms, overnight and long-shift use — where the buyer is choosing on running cost, quiet and lifespan instead of price. Fan and ceramic heaters take the entry price point and the seasonal top-up buyer. Our oil-filled line covers 7 to 13 fins and 1,500 W to 2,500 W across 45 models, with CE / LVD / EMC / GS / RoHS / ERP / CB marks and OEM colour, logo and packaging from 30 to 45 days. Tell us your market and we will suggest the mix.

Wholesale

Wholesale Oil-Filled Radiator Heaters from a China Factory

FirstSight manufactures oil-filled radiator heaters for importers, retailers and own-brand programmes. Our 45 models cover 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13 fin layouts from 500 W to 2,500 W, so you can stock a compact personal unit alongside a 13-fin radiator for a large room from a single supplier. Every unit is a quiet radiant heater for indoor use: the permanently sealed diathermic oil radiates warmth without a fan, so there is no noise and no blown dust.

As an oil filled radiator heater supplier in China we build to your market — CE and UKCA options, EU / UK / US / AU plugs, and your own logo, housing colour and packaging. Every heater is an electric radiator heater with overheat protection and a tip-over switch as standard, with a sealed oil system that never needs refilling, which makes it a safe heater for baby room, nursery and bedroom use alike.

Wholesale pricing starts at low MOQ, with samples in 7-10 days and production in 30-45 days. Whether you need a 7 fin oil filled radiator for a bedroom range or a fanless electric radiator heater for a home-office line, our engineering team can return a prototype to your specification within 7-10 days. As a quiet radiant heater for indoor use, every model works as a radiant heater for home living rooms, bedrooms and studies as well as a commercial or hospitality setting.
