Oscillating Halogen Heater All 4 Models Sweep the Radiant Field

An oscillating halogen heater exists to fix one specific weakness of radiant heat: a bar warms what it points at and nothing else. All 4 halogen heaters we build answer that with movement — FS120H and FS120F carry a repeating rolling function and FS-HCB1922 and FS-HQ1922 carry a spin function, so the reflector sweeps a seating area instead of holding one spot.

The two motion types are not the same thing and are worth separating when you range-plan. On the FS120H and FS120F the tube assembly rolls back and forth across the width of the heater and the supply switches between 3 settings over 400–1,200 W. On the FS-HCB1922 and FS-HQ1922 the body spins on its base, which moves the radiant field across an area without changing the tube count. Both start heating on the first second because a halogen tube has no mass to warm up.

Every model here also carries a tip-over switch, and the FS-HCB1922 and FS-HQ1922 are built with a VDE plug and a 3 × 0.75 mm² PVC cable. Loading runs 2,200–3,510 pcs per 40HQ; the FS120H loads the most at 3,510 pcs because it packs 6 to a carton, against 1 / 4 / 6 pcs per carton across the range.

Motion is stated in each model’s own feature list — “repeating rolling function” on FS120H and FS120F and “spin function” on FS-HCB1922 and FS-HQ1922. Container figures are per 40HQ.

Oscillating Halogen Heaters — Full Specification

Power settings, heating element, voltage and tube count for every model on this page. A dash means the model’s own specification sheet does not publish that figure. This range does not publish net or gross weight, so no weight column appears here.

Container Loading

Packing and Container Loading

The FS120H and FS120F ship 6 and 4 to a carton, so they load more pieces per 40HQ than the FS-HCB1922 and FS-HQ1922, which go one to a carton on a larger giftbox.

† Cartons per 40HQ is worked out from the QTY / 40HQ figure divided by the pcs-per-carton in the packing column — it is a conversion, not a second rating.

Where They Sell

Where an Oscillating Halogen Heater Sells

Movement is sold on coverage: it is the argument that lets one low-wattage radiant heater serve more than one person.

Living rooms and seating groups

The sweep is what makes 400 W of radiant output usable by a room rather than by one chair — the point of the rolling function on the FS120H and FS120F.

Bedside and desk use

The FS-HCB1922 and FS-HQ1922 move a narrow radiant field across a small area on a spin base, which is how a 400 W low setting stays comfortable rather than localised.

Retail and hospitality floors

Premises that cannot put a fixed heater where people sit buy the movement instead: one unit, repositioned radiant coverage, no installation.

FAQ

Oscillating Halogen Heaters — Common Questions

What does an oscillating halogen heater actually do?

It moves a radiant source instead of leaving it aimed at one spot. On the FS120H and FS120F the tube assembly rolls back and forth across the width of the heater; on the FS-HCB1922 and FS-HQ1922 the body spins on its base. Either way the radiant field sweeps an area rather than a single point.

How many of your halogen heaters oscillate?

All 4 of them — FS120H, FS120F, FS-HCB1922 and FS-HQ1922. There is no static-only model in the halogen range, so every halogen heater we build moves the radiant field in one of the two ways.

Is rolling the same as spin?

No. Rolling moves the tube assembly across the width of the heater, which spreads the heat sideways; spin turns the whole body on its base, which moves the field around the unit. They are specified differently and are priced differently.

Do these need a warm-up period?

No. A halogen tube reaches working temperature almost immediately, which is the reason this type is chosen for spot heat in the first place. See halogen radiant heater for how the radiant side works.

Which is the best seller for a living room?

The 3-bar 400–1,200 W builds. See 1200W 3 bar halogen heater — three tubes plus the rolling function is the combination most buyers land on.

How many fit in a 40HQ container?

2,200 to 3,510 pcs. The FS120H reaches 3,510 pcs and the FS-HCB1922 loads 2,200 pcs; the difference is carton count, not heater size.
