The FS-P2000 is a PTC ceramic fan heater with two heat settings and a cool fan mode, so it earns its space in summer as well as winter. A PTC element heats up in seconds and limits its own temperature as it gets hotter, which is the safety argument for ceramic over an exposed coil — there is no red-hot element inside, and the element cannot run away even if the airflow is restricted. The fan then pushes that heat out into the room quickly rather than waiting for a radiator to warm up.

Because the element regulates its own temperature, the FS-P2000 does not need the internal heat sink that a coil heater carries. That keeps the body narrow enough for a shelf and light enough to move one-handed, and it removes the main failure point of a wire-wound unit — a glowing element that eventually sags or breaks.
