Quartz Heaters -- 32 Models

A quartz heater is a form of infrared heater - a heating appliance containing a high-temperature emitter that transfers energy to a cooler object through electromagnetic radiation. No contact or medium between the emitter and the object is needed, so infrared heaters can operate in vacuum or atmosphere alike.

The peak wavelength of the infrared radiation ranges from 750 nm to 1 mm. Emitters are classified by wavelength band: short wave or near infrared from 750 nm to 1.4 um, medium infrared between 1.4 um and 3 um, and far infrared above 3 um. A quartz tube element reaches working temperature within seconds, so heat is delivered almost instantly and warms people and objects directly rather than the air.

Why Choose

Three Things That Make These Heaters Different

Instant radiant heat

Quartz infrared tubes warm you in 1 second -- no warm-up, no waiting.

Tip-over and overheat cut-off

Every model has dual safety cut-off as standard for unattended operation.

Reflective housing design

Parabolic reflector concentrates heat where you sit, not on the ceiling.

Quartz vs Convection

Why Choose a Quartz Heater?

A quartz heater does not heat a room. It heats the people and surfaces in front of it, through mid-wave infrared, within seconds of switch-on and with almost no visible light. On a cold workshop floor that distinction is the whole product.

Six reasons quartz earns its place

Up to temperature in seconds

The quartz tube reaches its working temperature within seconds of switch-on, with no mass to warm through and no fan to spin up.

Heats people, not air

Radiant energy warms whoever is in the beam. The US Department of Energy notes radiant heaters suit spaces where people stay put and stay in line of sight.

Up to 86% radiant conversion

Electrically heated infrared emitters radiate up to 86% of the input energy as radiant heat rather than wasting it on the air.

Almost no visible light

At full power, under 5% of the emitted energy of a quartz element falls in the visible spectrum — which is why quartz, not halogen, gets used where light is a nuisance.

No fan, no moving parts

Without a blower there is nothing to rattle, clog or wear, and no air is stirred up — useful in dusty workshops and on painted surfaces.

Works in draughty and open space

Because it does not rely on warming air, a quartz heater still works in a garage, loading bay or covered terrace where convection is fighting the draught.

Where it honestly loses

Only what is in the beam

Step out of line of sight, or put anything between you and the tube, and the heat stops reaching you. A radiant heater makes a warm seat rather than a warm room — for overnight background heat the US Department of Energy recommends convection instead.

Very hot tube, real burn risk

The tube surface is hot enough to burn on contact. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission links space heaters to more than 1,700 residential fires and over 80 deaths a year.

So which one should you choose?

Choose a quartz heater if…

  • You are heating a work position, not a room
  • The space is draughty, half open, or too big to heat by convection
  • You want warmth in seconds without a fan running
  • Bright orange light in the room would be a problem

Choose a convection heater if…

  • You need the whole room warm, not just the person in one chair
  • People move around, so line of sight cannot be guaranteed
  • The heater has to be left running overnight, unattended
  • You want a stable room temperature rather than a directional beam

What that means for your order book

Quartz sells on immediacy and on cost per unit of felt warmth. The buyers who order it in volume are tooling up workshops, garages, factory bays, agricultural buildings and covered hospitality terraces — places where heating the air is simply not affordable. Those orders are won on reflector geometry, tube life and the safety chain, not on wattage. Our quartz line covers 32 models across free-standing, tower and wall-mounted configurations, with the CE / LVD / EMC / RoHS / ERP marks and OEM colour, logo and packaging from 30 to 45 days.

Radiant conversion, visible-light and warm-up figures follow the Wikipedia entry on infrared heaters, the US Department of Energy guidance on small space heaters and published quartz element data from Ceramicx. Confirm the specification of the exact model before quoting.
