Quartz Heater with Thermostat 15 Models with Temperature Control
A thermostat turns a quartz heater from something you switch on and off into something that holds a temperature. 15 of the 32 quartz heater models we build list an adjustable thermostat or temperature control in their own specification, and they span 400 W to 2,400 W across 3 to 6 quartz tubes.
On a radiant heater the thermostat does something slightly different from a convection unit. A quartz tube warms the objects and people it faces rather than the air, so a thermostat reading the surrounding air will switch the element off earlier than a convection heater would — which is why these models pair the thermostat with multi-step power control. The user sets the output they want and the thermostat decides when it runs. Because a quartz tube reaches working temperature in about a second, a thermostat here cycles a source that is already at full output rather than waiting for an element to warm up.
The physical range behind those 15 models runs from the FS-212 at 2.30 kg up to the FS-1724B at 4.40 kg, with giftboxes from 460 × 150 × 405 mm to 705 × 225 × 490 mm. Container loading is 900 to 2,300 pcs per 40HQ. 1 of the 15 are on castors — the FS-2024A — and 1 offers a remote control.

What Thermostat Control Changes
These are the reasons a thermostat is specified over a plain on/off switch.
Holding a steady temperature
The element cycles instead of running continuously, so a room settles at the dialled temperature rather than overshooting and then cooling.
Unattended and overnight operation
Automatic temperature control is what makes overnight running practical: the heater switches itself off when the room is warm and back on as it cools.
Varying the running cost
Because the element cycles, average consumption sits below the rated figure. The thermostat is the control that decides how far below.

Quartz Heaters with Thermostat — Common Questions
Which quartz heaters have a thermostat?
15 of the 32 models in our range: the FS-251, FS-252, FS-230, FS-212, FS-2024A, FS-2024B, FS-1920, FS-HQ1911, FS-HQ1911S, FS-HQ1910, FS-HQ1910S, FS-1724B, FS-1824B, FS-2000, FS-2000D. The rest are switched by dial, button or pull cord without temperature feedback.
Does a thermostat work the same on a radiant heater?
It measures the air around the unit, while a quartz tube heats surfaces and people directly. In practice the room reaches the set temperature while the user is already warm, so these models pair the thermostat with multi-step power control rather than relying on it alone.
Is a thermostat the same as overheat protection?
No. A thermostat holds your chosen room temperature; overheat protection is a safety cut-out that stops the element if the unit gets too hot or is covered. These models have both.
Can a thermostat be added to a model that has none?
Customisation is quoted per project. Send the model and the control you need and we will confirm what can be changed on the build.
Do the thermostat models hold their setting if the power is cut?
These are domestic electric heaters with mechanical or button control; they resume in the state their switch is set to. This is not a programmable room thermostat and not a central-heating control.
How many of these fit in a 40HQ?
900 to 2,300 pcs. The FS-HQ1911S gives the highest figure at 2,300 pcs; the FS-1724B is the largest body in this group at 900 pcs.
